What Palermo Chico is like

Palermo Chico is the most elegant part of the neighborhood. Along its curving, tree-lined streets are residences, embassies and fine buildings, with very little activity at night.

MALBA, the National Museum of Decorative Arts and the parks that slope down to the river are a few blocks away. It is the place to rest, with Recoleta and Palermo Soho a short ride away.

What is nearby

  • MALBA, Latin American Art Museum of Buenos Aires
  • National Museum of Decorative Arts
  • Parks and squares along Figueroa Alcorta avenue
  • Rose Garden and Palermo Woods, about 20 minutes on foot

Best for

Families, restful trips and anyone who prefers a quiet, green area.

Getting around

It has less subway access than other areas: buses along Libertador and Las Heras, taxis or ride-hailing apps work well. Facultad de Derecho station on line H is on the border with Recoleta.
