What Palermo Viejo is like

Palermo Viejo is the historic core of the neighborhood: Palermo Soho and Palermo Hollywood grew out of it. At PalermoH we group here its most residential blocks, with traditional long houses, homes with patios and low buildings.

Jorge Luis Borges lived on Serrano street as a child (it now bears his name) and wrote about the neighborhood in “The Mythical Founding of Buenos Aires”. Old corner stores now share the streets with new cafés and restaurants.
